Since it’s inception in 2014, DEXT Recordings has quietly but confidently woven itself into the fabric of upfront UK electronic music. With an impressive growing catalog of vinyl releases under its belt, is is well established in the crates of DJs wanting that extra edge in their sets; breaking new talent and working alongside well-established players as it goes.
Riding genres is often attempted by a lot of labels, but the wealth of experience and discerning ear of the boss Haze makes it sound easy listening to the output thus far. Based on a solid framework of raw house, rough UK techno and upfront bass-led percussion, the DEXT artist rosta all seemingly step their game up every time; Special Request, Hodge, Zenker Bros, Bodyjack, Alden Tyrell, Lo Shea, Mella Dee, Endian, Dead Man’s Chest, Oli Furness, Callahan and Otik have all turned in outstanding entries into the library, while loyal supporters such as Black Madonna, Jackmaster, Paul Woolford, Martyn and Ryan Elliot have all regularly broken new releases in the clubs.
Now with a new limited offshoot 10” vinyl label, and as they approach their special 10th release (by label mainstay Bodyjack), DEXT begins the start of it’s next exciting phase, and it’s safe to say that business is about to pick up even more.
